School holidays

School hols are coming.

Make sure your ready, more kids about and more things to distract them.

You need to up what treats you use and make the walks more interesting so your dog doesn’t run off to play with kids.

Earlier walk is useful where I live as the kids never seem to be up before 9am.

Social dogs

A truly social dog has manners and knows when to play and when to avoid doggy friends.

This is not achieved by letting your dog off to run wild with dogs.

This is achieved by teaching self control and systematically introducing your dog to controlled play.

A dog just let off to play with no self control is a nuisance.

 

Make your dog a social dog not a nuisance dog!

Dogs at play

My dogs love playing in their paddlin pool even if it’s not red hot.

I always put toys in for them to bob about and food to catch and dunk.

They spend hours entertaining themselves in the water.

Bit wet but great so I can get on.

Sunny play

Posted by:

Ice cubes to play with on a hot day, gives your dog a cool boost.

Teaching them to lay in front of a cool fan ( make sure it has safety guards on it)

A frozen bottle of water, wrapped in a cloth to keep them cool.

Warm weather can make your dog crabby.

I wouldn’t enjoy having to sit in a fur coat on a warm day.

Dogs off lead

Make sure dog is safe when off lead.

Have a lead on when walking at the roadside and when on main roads please.

It doesn’t take much for your dog to be spooked or behave unexpectedly and it could cost their life.

Be responsible and put a lead on your dog.
