Try some new games with your dogs, or book a 121 to teach scent work.

Dogs

Weather is getting better, so more people are out for longer with their dogs.

Make sure yours is wearing a collar and ID tag and is under control.

Make sure your dog is not bothering other people, by jumping up etc.

Also watch out that your dog only plays or try to play with friendly dogs and not dogs that are reactive.

If a dog is on the lead it will be on the lead for a reason, so call yours back.

Loss

The loss of your pet regardless how old they are is awful.

They are a big part of your life everyday and leave a huge gap when gone.

Missing them is normal and grief is a process you must go through in your own time.

Grief is different for everyone and no one can tell you what to do.

A supportive part of my job is communication with animals that have past over, this can help resolve unspoken words and give comfort.

Lots of things you can buy or make your own.

Start with an easy puzzle and then make it harder.

Use your imagination and your dogs character, mine like scent work in the house and garden.

Dog fun

Having a dog is hard work, but can be lots of fun too.

Yes they have to be fed, poo picked up, exercised and groomed regulary.

The exercise bit can be lots of fun if you use your imagination.

Running, games like hide and seek or fetch, playing with other dogs and lots more can give you loads of joy.
